Dandelions are related to sunflowers. Sunflower seeds are grown for their edible oil content.
Dandelions are edible... but do the seeds (much smaller than sunflower seeds) contain usable amounts of oil, and can I extract it?

This is a wild food recipe for something called Nettle Pudding. You could think of it as a vegetarian version of Black Pudding or sausages - it's ideal for slicing and frying to form the hearty centre of a cooked breakfast, or it can be sliced thinly and used in sandwiches.

We went to a Tomato Festival at West Dean. Arriving early, we were one of the first few cars in the parking field and we found some fantastic horse mushrooms.

In a previous article, I speculated that it might be possible to cook limpets long and slow, to tenderise them - my holiday in the Highlands of Scotland in August 2010 offered the perfect opportunity to test this hypothesis.
